About Us
Quality Concepts Machining Inc. was founded
by Brian Hopkins in May of 2001.

Brian grew up working in the family machining, welding and fabrication business. It was there that he learned the basics of machining and grew to love it. He attended Idaho State University and graduated with an Associates Degree in Machining Technology. He began his career as a machinist in the aerospace industry in Utah. It didn't take him long to realize that his ultimate goal was to build his own machine shop. With this in mind, he set out to gain all the knowledge he could. This meant learning many more facets of the machining world. After 3 years in Utah, he moved on to a shop where he learned about designing and building food processing equipment. From there he went on to Boise, Idaho where he spent time learning the Semi-Conductor industry. He eventually moved up through several management positions and ultimately wound up being the production manager and purchaser of a large machine shop. When the right opportunity arrived, he settled a little closer to home in Chubbuck, Idaho where he began his own business in 2001. It didn't take long for his reputation to kick in and Quality Concepts Machining began to expand.
By late 2002, Brian hired his brother, Nick Hopkins, who was working on a degree in Marketing at Idaho State University to help run the two new machines. In 2004, he helped Nick fulfill one of his dreams and together they opened White Tip Archery, an archery pro shop.
By 2008, both businesses had grown to a point that they needed a good office administrator. They called on their sister, Courtney Hopkins, to take on the task of doing all the office work for both companies. Courtney has an Associates Degree in Medical Office Technology from Idaho State University. They soon built a new building, added four employees, and new high-speed equipment to the machine shop. With ten successful years of business behind them, Quality Concepts acquired and new office administrator, Kathryn Hopkins, as Courtney continued on in the Medical field. Quality Concepts Machining plans to keep growing and providing their excellent, friendly service.
